In addition, the Edge 540 can connect to Wi-Fi networks, so cyclists can easily sync their ride data with their smartphone, laptop and other compatible Garmin devices. It works with Garmin Connect and Sync, allowing users to easily share and analyze data, as well as create custom workouts and race courses. The device is suited for road, mountain and cyclocross bikes. It is lightweight and comes with a bike mount that fits standard quarter-turn and Garmin mounts. The Edge 540 also comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, providing up to 20 hours of battery life.
